SherWeb enters the Deloitte Technology Fast 50™ and ranks 26th
Already firmly established in North America, SherWeb gained the recognition of Deloitte, the prestigious professional services firm, and ranked 26th among the fastest growing technology companies in Canada in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50™.
Montréal, September 23, 2010 — SherWeb entered the Deloitte Technology Fast 50™, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in Canada, based on the percentage of revenue growth over five years. SherWeb's increase in revenues of 937 percent from 2005 to 2009 resulted in a 26th ranking, an ideal opportunity to strengthen its credibility as a major player of the service-as-a-software industry.
A considerable challenge, according to John Ruffolo, National Leader, Technology, Media & Telecommunications Industry Group, Deloitte: “Canadian technology companies have demonstrated some very impressive growth numbers over the past year, amid the challenges of an uncertain global economic recovery.” He added, “SherWeb is an example of the determination, drive and skill that will serve to position them for further growth and success in the years to come.”
If SherWeb achieved a ranking among the Deloitte Technology Fast 50™, it's not only because the company met all the qualification criteria (having been in business for at least five years, having revenues of at least $5 million, being headquartered in Canada, owning proprietary technology, and conducting research and development activities in Canada), but also because of its relentless work and of its strong will to distinguish themselves from their competitors, to keep increasing the quality of client relationships and to stay abreast of the latest technologies.
With its outstanding offer, SherWeb has nothing to fear from its international competitors but still manages to keep its head cool, because new challenges are always to be expected after a victory. “We are very honored of Deloitte's recognition, but beyond that, we are already looking for ways to enhance our services", says Peter Cassar, President and CEO. "In addition to our important investments in research and development, our global strategy is mainly built on human resources, and on recruiting the best talent in the industry, which remains a challenging task considering our rate of growth.”
