log results, and send them to your System Administrator for further analysis.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>3) Outlook meetings disappearing<\/h2>\n<p>If you\u2019re unable to see the meeting invitation you just sent on your Outlook calendar, follow these steps to resolve the problem:<\/p>\n<h4>1) Run \u201cOutlook.exe \/cleanroamedprefs\u201d<\/h4>\n<p>This switch command cleans (and copies again) your Outlook roaming preferences from the local settings of the PC on which it is run.<\/p>\n<p>Roaming settings are a small collection of settings that govern reminders, the Free\/Busy grid, working hours, calendar publishing, and RSS rules.<\/p>\n<p>Settings running on Exchange Server can change during an Outlook session. Normally, as soon as new settings become available, they are updated for the user client. Unfortunately, in certain cases, this doesn\u2019t happen, leading to various problems. Running <strong>Outlook.exe \/cleanroamedprefs<\/strong> should fix the problem.<\/p>\n<p>To do so, click on Start. The user interface is similar to that of Microsoft Outlook, but the web-based version doesn\u2019t require the client software (Outlook) to run on your PC.<\/p>\n<p>Just go to https:\/\/login.microsoftonline.com, provide the required credentials, and log in.<\/p>\n<p>Then, navigate to the <strong>Calendar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-11568 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sherweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/How-to-Troubleshoot-Meeting-Invitations-Outlook-meetings-disappearing-OWA-Calendar.png\" alt=\"OWA Calendar\" width=\"1889\" height=\"636\" srcset=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/How-to-Troubleshoot-Meeting-Invitations-Outlook-meetings-disappearing-OWA-Calendar.png 1889w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/How-to-Troubleshoot-Meeting-Invitations-Outlook-meetings-disappearing-OWA-Calendar-300x101.png 300w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/How-to-Troubleshoot-Meeting-Invitations-Outlook-meetings-disappearing-OWA-Calendar-768x259.png 768w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/How-to-Troubleshoot-Meeting-Invitations-Outlook-meetings-disappearing-OWA-Calendar-1024x345.png 1024w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/How-to-Troubleshoot-Meeting-Invitations-Outlook-meetings-disappearing-OWA-Calendar-600x202.png 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1889px) 100vw, 1889px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>The meeting is not present on the OWA calendar<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If the meeting is not present on the OWA calendar, the best thing you can do is contact your system administrator so they can check their Exchange Server data.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The meeting is present on the OWA calendar<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In this case, the problem is likely with your Outlook software.<\/p>\n<p>Follow these steps: Repair your Outlook profile.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Repair your Outlook profile.<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>In Outlook, go to File.<\/li>\n<li>Click the dropdown arrow next to Account Settings, and select Account Settings.<\/li>\n<li>On the Email tab, select your account (profile), and click Repair.<\/li>\n<li>Follow the prompts in the wizard. Afterwards, restart Outlook.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong> Create a new Outlook profile, and check if the meeting invitation is visible on the new profile calendar.<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Close Outlook.<\/li>\n<li>Go to Start, and navigate to the Control Panel. Click on Mail.<\/li>\n<li>The Mail Setup window will pop up.<\/li>\n<li>Click on Show Profiles.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the Add button.<\/li>\n<li>Choose the name for the new profile, and click OK.<\/li>\n<li>The Autodiscover service should be able to create the Outlook profile automatically.<\/li>\n<li>Click Next and then Finish.<\/li>\n<li>Revisit the Mail Configuration window, and select the option that reads \u201dAlways use this profile\u201d.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>4) Duplicate meetings are being sent<\/h2>\n<p>Several users have noted the issue where Outlook Calendar will repeatedly send the same meeting invitation to attendees, even if they\u2019ve already confirmed their times.<\/p>\n<p>This is most often (but not always) caused by external device protocols that communicate with Exchange Server. In fact, if the meeting organizer or one or more attendees are synchronizing their calendars on their smartphones, the synchronization is typically handled by a network protocol developed by Microsoft called Exchange ActiveSync.<\/p>\n<p>In such cases, the calendar tends to misbehave.<\/p>\n<h3>What is Exchange ActiveSync?<\/h3>\n<p>Exchange ActiveSync is a network protocol responsible for synchronizing mobile devices with your Exchange mailbox. It allows mobile users to access their email, calendar, contacts, and tasks.<\/p>\n<h3>What happens?<\/h3>\n<p>Simply put, many mobile OS versions (Windows included) don\u2019t play nice with Microsoft ActiveSync, generating a wide range of calendar issues.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s take a look at how we can address these.<\/p>\n<h4>1) Run \u201cOutlook.exe \/Cleanreminders\u201d<\/h4>\n<p>This switch command clears and regenerates calendar reminders.<\/p>\n<p>Click on <strong>Start<\/strong>.
