In this article, we\u2019ll look at five of the most useful, and in our opinion the best Office 365 add-ins you should use. If you\u2019re interested in sampling them as we go along, you can launch the Microsoft Store from any of your Office applications by navigating to the <strong>Insert<\/strong> tab and choosing <strong>Store<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-13102 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sherweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/A.jpg\" alt=\"Office 365 Add-in: Browse Office Store Image\" width=\"552\" height=\"203\" srcset=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/A.jpg 552w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/A-300x110.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 552px) 100vw, 552px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Some Office 365 add-ins are free, but others have associated costs. At any time, you can manage your current list of add-ins by selecting <strong>My Add-ins<\/strong> from the <strong>Insert<\/strong> tab.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>1) Office Tabs<\/h2>\n<p>Office Tabs lets you manage multiple documents with ease, introducing a document bar below your Word, Excel, and PowerPoint ribbons. Traditionally, you\u2019d have to hover over the Office on your taskbar and select a different window to switch to another document. Now, you can simply click on the tab corresponding to the document you\u2019d like to open from within any existing document!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-13103 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sherweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/B.jpg\" alt=\"Office 365 Add-in: Office Tabs Image\" width=\"928\" height=\"168\" srcset=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/B.jpg 928w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/B-300x54.jpg 300w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/B-768x139.jpg 768w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/B-600x109.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 928px) 100vw, 928px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>For additional customization, Office Tabs features a setup wizard that lets you choose the Office versions and components you\u2019d like to use. The add-in also lets you choose a preferred language and access online help.<\/p>\n<p>As for costs, you can download an evaluation copy of Office Tabs for free. The standard version of Office Tabs currently costs $29.00 and supports Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. For a price of $39.00, the Enterprise version supports Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sherweb.com\/blog\/o365-7-microsoft-project-features\/\">Project<\/a>, and Visio. All in all, Office Tabs is a worthwhile investment that lets you work more efficiently and gives you greater control over Office document management.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>2) PayPal for Outlook<\/h2>\n<p>The free PayPal add-in lets you easily attach PayPal payments Outlook emails. If you\u2019d like to send the money to a different recipient, simply click on the <strong>Send to someone else<\/strong> link.<\/p>\n<p>Click the <strong>Next<\/strong> button to send the amount you entered. It also greatly simplifies meeting scheduling by allowing you to send your availability in an email without having to open up a separate calendar window.<\/p>\n<h3>Here\u2019s how it works<\/h3>\n<p>1. Create a new email or open an existing one.<br \/>\n2. Open Boomerang.<br \/>\n3. Set the <strong>Send later<\/strong> settings for this emailhen you\u2019re done., and click the Confirm button when you&#8217;re done.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>4) Pexels<\/h2>\n<p>The free Pexels add-in allows you to search for, view, and save royalty-free images that you can then insert into Word and PowerPoint documents.<\/p>\n<p>1. Once you\u2019ve downloaded the Pexels add-in, simply navigate to the <strong>Insert<\/strong> tab and click the <strong>Open<\/strong> Pexels option.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-13122 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sherweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Q.jpg\" alt=\"Office 365 Add-in: Outlook Pexels Image\" width=\"415\" height=\"122\" srcset=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Q.jpg 415w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Q-300x88.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 415px) 100vw, 415px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>2. Doing so opens the Pexels app. Then, enter your image search criteria. Alternatively, you can click the <strong>Popular<\/strong> button to view currently popular image searches. In the following example, I used \u201ccomputer\u201d as my search criteria.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-13123 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sherweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/S.jpg\" alt=\"Office 365 Add-in: Pexels Search Image\" width=\"336\" height=\"736\" srcset=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/S.jpg 336w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/S-137x300.jpg 137w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 336px) 100vw, 336px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When you click on your desired photo, it will automatically be inserted into your Word document wherever your cursor was positioned.<\/p>\n<p>To save a photo as a favorite, click the icon on the top-left corner of the image. You can then view your favorite images by clicking the <strong>My favorites<\/strong> button.<br \/>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>5) ASAP Utilities<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.asap-utilities.com\/\">ASAP Utilities<\/a> has been around for a long time\u2014since 1999, to be exact! Over time, it\u2019s become a great resource for Microsoft Excel. The developers have even put together 50 short tutorials on how to use their add-in!<\/p>\n<p>Before we get started, a word about license costs: You can download ASAP Utilities for free only if it is for home, school, or charitable organization use. For business licenses, it\u2019s a one-time fee of $49.00 for a single user license.<\/p>\n<p>The image below shows the ASAP Utilities ribbon, which is your starting point for using the add-in.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-13124 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sherweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/T.jpg\" alt=\"Office 365 Add-in: ASAP Utilities Image\" width=\"1046\" height=\"122\" srcset=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/T.jpg 1046w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/T-300x35.jpg 300w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/T-768x90.jpg 768w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/T-1024x119.jpg 1024w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/T-600x70.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1046px) 100vw, 1046px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Add Multiple Worksheets:<\/h3>\n<p>1. Select a range of cells that contain the names for your new sheets. (You can either use the <strong>Quick numbering of selected cells<\/strong> feature in ASAP Utilities or Excel&#8217;s built-in fill tools to help you quickly create a list of names.)<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-13125 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sherweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/U.jpg\" alt=\"Office 365 Add-in: Worksheets Image\" width=\"155\" height=\"198\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In the example above, I created a partial list of US states.<\/p>\n<p>2. Hover over the second option. A description of the utility will appear.<br \/>\n4. The utility creates a sheet based on the contents of each cell in your selection.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-13128 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sherweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Y.jpg\" alt=\"Office 365 Add-in: Quick Add Multiple Sheets Image 2\" width=\"552\" height=\"307\" srcset=\"\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Y.jpg 552w, \/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Y-300x167.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 552px) 100vw, 552px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Delete a Certain Number of Leading Characters<\/h3>\n<p>Suppose you have a column that lists part numbers for a certain product. Let\u2019s say all parts begin with the letter \u201cR\u201d, and you decide to remove this letter from all values under this column. Your first instinct may be to run Find and Replace, but what if the column contains the letter \u201cR\u201d in other parts of its data, such as \u201cR33TRF\u201d? In that case, Find and Replace would remove all the \u201cR\u201ds, not just the leading ones.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-13129 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sherweb.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Z.jpg\" alt=\"Office 365 Add-in: Quick Add Multiple Sheets Image 3\" width=\"161\" height=\"298\" \/><\/p>\n<p>1. Start this utility by selecting <strong>Text<\/strong> under <strong>Time saving tools<\/strong>.<br \/>\n2. Hover over option #18. A description of the utility pops up.<br \/>\n3. Choose option #18 and set the number of characters to remove in the window below.
