Your Microsoft Partner ID is a unique identifier that gives you access to all the resources and benefits of your partnership with Microsoft. It\u2019s free to obtain and crucial for managing Microsoft tenants, licenses, incentives and more.<\/p>\n
How to get your Partner ID<\/h3>\n\n- If you\u2019re not a\u00a0Microsoft partner already,\u00a0you\u2019ll have to sign up<\/a>.<\/li>\n

Microsoft has grouped these designations into six different Solutions Partner categories. The purpose is to identify partners who are highly experienced in each of Microsoft\u2019s cloud solution areas: Infrastructure, Data and AI, Digital and App Innovation, Modern Work, Security and Business Applications.<\/p>\n
Once you earn a Solutions Partner designation, you can further showcase your expertise by pursuing a Specialization aligned with the six Solutions Partner categories. You must maintain certifications to validate your Specialization.<\/p>\n
#3 Accessing Microsoft incentives, resources and benefits<\/h3>\n
After you\u2019ve completed the initial setup and customized your partnership, it\u2019s time to dive deep into\u00a0various resources<\/a>. These include (but aren\u2019t limited to):<\/p>\n\n- incentives<\/a><\/strong> in the form of rebate payments and co-op funds<\/li>\n
- a\u00a0portfolio of\u00a0go-to-market services<\/strong>\u00a0to help you grow your business<\/li>\n

Start with roles and permissions<\/h3>\n
Before anything else, verify\u00a0the roles and permissions<\/strong>\u00a0your user has for the Partner Center.\u00a0You must be a global admin<\/strong> to give yourself the additional permissions for MCPP admin<\/strong> and account admin<\/strong>. These are required for the next steps.<\/p>\nThen,\u00a0confirm<\/a>\u00a0you\u2019re enrolled as a CSP Indirect Reseller and that you\u2019ve\u00a0signed<\/a>\u00a0the updated\u00a0Microsoft Partner Agreement<\/strong><\/a>.
