Are your customers still using the perpetual (on-premise) version of Microsoft Dynamics? If the answer is yes, here’s another question: Have you been talking to them about migrating to Dynamics 365 in the cloud? If so, there’s a way to create a sense of urgency for them, while simultaneously increasing the value of your managed services. Microsoft is currently extending a promotion to help Dynamics 365 Enhancement Plan (EP) customers migrate to the cloud with their CSP program.

Renew clients’ Dynamics 365 Enhancement Plan through the CSP program

Renewing through the CSP program has many benefits. Your customers reap the rewards of faster, agile monitoring, gain access to predictive metrics and choose intelligent data-driven outcomes. We know that migration projects can be costly and time consuming, especially when you’re working with a majority remote workforce. That’s why the CSP program aims to provide customers with a more efficient, affordable and secure path to shifting workloads to the cloud. With the existing EP support plan, customers always have access to the most updated version of the solution, run their business operations at peak performance, and gain a library of government regulatory and tax documentation to stay in compliance. They can also access a self-service repository of customer support documentation for quick resolution of miniscule issues.

Promotion details

If you have customers with current subscriptions to a Dynamics 365 Enhancement Plan, great! This promotion could certainly be of interest to them. Developed with partner feedback, Microsoft designed this offer to assist customers with cash flow during these uncertain times.

In response to such concerns, applicable customers can take advantage of monthly subscription billing instead of upfront yearly costs. These customers will also receive a 60% discount on Business Central licenses as long as they renew their Enhancement Plan (EP) through the CSP program at an annual total greater than or equal to their current EP renewal amount.

For Sherweb partners and managed service providers (MSPs), this is a chance for you to upsell Dynamics 365, so make sure when you’re having this conversation when doing discovery on any new business challenges or potential clients!

About Business Central

Business Central lets your customers run their business from anywhere. They can store and transmit data across different systems, work on a variety of devices and support upwards of 25 different languages for their processes. This is great for enterprise-level companies with a global presence, especially given the rise of remote work environments.

Business Central can also help manage clients’ finances, optimize their supply chain, accelerate their sales processes, deliver on-time and on-budget projects, and reach their optimal level of output. And this is by no means a comprehensive list of all the possible applications!

Dynamics 365 EP to CSP promotion eligibility

The benefits of renewing your Dynamics 365 EP through the CSP program are clear, however there is a caveat regarding who’s eligible to take advantage. Only customers who bought perpetual licenses before June 1, 2020 for the following programs can participate: Dynamics 365 Business Central, Dynamics NAV, Dynamics DP and Dynamics SL.

In addition, with regards to providers, you can’t wait until the last minute to have this conversation with your customers coming up on renewal dates—the offer is only redeemable within 30 days of their scheduled plan renewal. Make sure you mark your calendar to follow up with customers at least two to three months in advance of their renewal date! Additionally, it’s important to note that the migration promotion runs until June 30, 2021.
