Microsoft Ignite 2025 delivered some of the most transformative announcements we’ve seen in years—especially for SMBs and the technology advisors who serve them. With AI now at the center of Microsoft’s strategy, the opportunities for managed service providers (MSPs) to differentiate and grow have never been greater.
At Sherweb, we’re excited to help our partners navigate these changes and turn them into real business outcomes. Here’s what matters most for our ecosystem.
1. Copilot everywhere—now for SMBs
The headline announcement from Ignite: Microsoft 365 Copilot Business SKU launches December 1, 2025 at $21/user/month (CAD $29/user/month) for up to 300 seats on Business Basic, Business Standard or Business Premium.
Even better, Microsoft is introducing bundles and promotions to make adoption easier:
- 35% off Business Standard and Copilot Business
- 25% off Business Premium and Copilot Business
- 50% off Purview Suite for Business Premium
- $18/user/month introductory pricing (CAD $24.84/user/month) for Copilot Business from December 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026

Why this matters
SMBs can now access enterprise-grade AI at an affordable price point. For MSPs, this is a huge upsell and cross-sell opportunity.
However, as our Microsoft expert Mike Davies notes: “While Copilot Business works across all Business plans, pairing it with Microsoft 365 Business Premium and the newly announced security and compliance add-ons is the best way to let SMBs adopt Copilot affordably and securely.” Taking this into account, we believe the best fit for SMBs who want enterprise AI and security is as follows:
Copilot Business + Business Premium + Defender Suite for Business Premium + Purview Suite for Business Premium
2. Work IQ and Copilot Agents
The next big two announcements from Microsoft Ignite 2025 are Work IQ and Copilot Agents.
Work IQ is like Copilot’s upgraded brain. It gets to know your tasks, processes and workflows to give you hyper-personalized insights and help you get things done. Bringing together data, memory and inference, Work IQ helps power the next innovation in putting AI to work: agents.
Copilot Agents, coming soon for Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Copilot Agents really drive productivity forward with the ability to create, edit and automate right from within Copilot Chat. Of course, all of this is done with privacy and security still top of mind.

Impact for MSPs
As their clients’ trusted IT advisors, MSPs can educate SMB customers on the latest Copilot capabilities, help them unlock productivity gains and streamline their operations with AI-driven workflows.
3. Security Copilot for Microsoft 365 E5
In keeping with Copilot’s expansion across the Microsoft ecosphere, advanced AI-driven threat detection and response have now been integrated into Microsoft 365 E5. Security Copilot agents are rolling out to Microsoft Defender, Entra, Intune and Purview.
Opportunity for MSPs
For SMB customers looking to strengthen cyber resilience, MSPs can position E5 as a premium security solution to enhance clients’ defenses.
4. Agent 365
The accelerated rollout of agentic AI calls for centralized governance of AI agents. Agent 365 consolidates identity, compliance and security in one place, and makes it easy to visualize and keep track of every agent in operation, along with its users and permissions.

Why it matters for MSPs
Agent 365 greatly improves an MSP’s ability to manage AI deployments at scale without the increased risk of shadow AI and potential security vulnerabilities.
5. Azure Copilot Migration Agent
Agents are coming to migration projects as well! Migration Agent in Azure Copilot accelerates app modernization with AI-powered capabilities for landing zone creation, infra-as-code templates and automated discovery, among other functions.
MSP opportunity
Simplifying the migration process means MSPs can offer modernization services faster and more efficiently, in turn creating an opportunity to scale operations and reach more clients.
6. Partner designations and specializations
A new Frontier Partner Badge is now available for Microsoft partners wanting to showcase their AI chops. MSPs can differentiate their AI-first leadership by earning three specific designations and specializations.
Sherweb has already earned the Support Services designation and is among the first distributors to do so!

The SMB opportunity is huge for MSPs
With over 400 million players globally, about 90% of businesses are SMBs. AI adoption in this segment is accelerating, and Microsoft’s new offerings make it easier than ever for MSPs to deliver value.
Sherweb is here to help you seize these opportunities. We grow when our partners grow, and we thrive on setting you up to thrive. Stay tuned for upcoming webinars, enablement sessions, and resources to help you position Copilot and AI solutions for your clients.
