When Peter founded Sherweb with his brother Matthew, they correctly envisioned that the Internet would play a key role in how businesses and professionals communicate. Since that time, they have been able to grow Sherweb from a small basement operation to a trailblazing market leader with more than 80,000 customers worldwide. The company’s renewed focus on providing channel partners with a robust cloud marketplace is a testimony to their innovative approach and willingness to break boundaries.

Peter has been involved in IT for over 20 years. His technical and business knowledge of the industry allows Sherweb to stand out in a highly competitive field.

Matthew Cassar

Co-Founder & Co-CEO

Matthew co-founded Sherweb with his brother Peter in 1998. Decades later, he still sees the Internet as a revolutionizing medium that has replaced traditional enterprise software technology with on-demand software offered as a service.

Matthew provides the dynamism and vision that has helped position Sherweb as a pioneer in cloud solutions and distribution. He holds a law degree and an MBA from the Université de Sherbrooke.

Alain Brisson

Alain BrissonChief Operating Officer

Alain joined Sherweb in 2021 as its Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for defining the company’s organizational strategy, optimizing operations, and driving transformation strategies.

With a rich background in senior management roles for major Canadian industry players including Bell and CGI, Alain brings a solid vision to fulfilling our customer promise. Alain is recognized for his passion, versatility, and ability to identify and resolve complex commercial, operational, and organizational challenges, and he holds an MBA in Management from HEC Montréal.

Marc-Andre Fontaine

Marc-André FontaineVice President, Marketing and Client Experience

Marc-André has long been at the core of Sherweb’s success, initially as VP of Product Development, and now as VP of Marketing. His outstanding leadership skills and considerable knowledge of Sherweb’s product line make him the perfect person to drive the company’s continued growth and success and strengthen its position as a world leader in cloud services.

Prior to joining Sherweb, Marc-André was vice president and co-founder of an international software design firm specializing in commercial real estate. He holds a bachelor degree in computer engineering from the Université de Sherbrooke.

Jason Brown

Jason BrownVice President, IP

Jason has spearheaded Sherweb’s global product strategy, specifically for Microsoft 365. Drawing on his solid background in product, marketing and channel operations, he has been very successful in creating products and services for Sherweb’s partners and direct customer channels.

It was largely through Jason’s efforts that Sherweb was able to increase sales for Microsoft 365 and position itself among the best partners in North America for Microsoft’s Cloud Solution Provider program.

Prior to joining Sherweb, Jason was a Product Manager at Melbourne IT, Australia’s largest hosting provider. He has more than 17 years’ experience in IT and online services and holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia.

Alexandra Lebel

Alexandra LebelVice President, Human Resources

Alexandra has a vast experience in human resources and executive management. Her energy and drive have led her to seek out new challenges in various industries such as manufacturing, engineering and professional services. During her 20+ years in the field, Alexandra has played a key role as the Corporate Head of Human Resources for EXP, an engineering and architectural firm with up to 100 locations in North America. She has acted as a Senior Human Resources Business Partner for Domtar, a global organization with 10,000 employees in more than 50 countries. Aside from HR management, Alexandra has also been involved in corporate reorganizations and has led several company mergers and acquisitions.

Alexandra holds a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Relations from Université Laval. She also completed her academic background with studies in Business Administration and Operations Management. She joined Sherweb in February 2018.

Brigitte Roy

Brigitte RoyVice President, Marketing

With her unwavering commitment to Sherweb, Brigitte has been able to leverage expertise she developed at companies such as Bell and Yellow Pages, and has brought to Sherweb an innovative vision of market approach and renewed rigor in execution.

Brigitte excels at creating comprehensive marketing plans, tactfully blending strategic thinking and foresight to accelerate long-range goals and boost revenue. A seasoned communicator, she is also skilled in the art of strengthening relationships and fostering a creative and positive work environment. She holds an MBA from Concordia University.

Eric Gagnon

Eric GagnonVice President, Platform & Engineering

Eric’s extensive knowledge in Information Systems and Technology makes him the ideal person to lead Sherweb’s growing team of software developers. He brings more than 25 years of experience to the job with a solid background that includes Software Development, Business Analysis, Project and Program Management and Enterprise Architecture.

Before assuming his new role, Eric was Sherweb’s Director of IT Operations, Projects and Cloud Support. Eric has also served as a conference speaker on Business Continuity, Lean IT and Agile.

Samuel Guenette

Samuel GuénetteVice President, Cloud Services

Samuel joined Sherweb in 2017 with almost 20 years of experience in IT, 10 of which are in customer service management.

Samuel is an efficient, versatile and results-oriented individual. He has a vast knowledge and expertise in working across a range of disciplines; from very advanced technological skills, to those required to be successful in human resources, restructuring, planning, finance and international sales. All of which make him a key player on Sherweb’s executive team.

Before coming to Sherweb, Samuel held various senior management positions within organizations such as Media5 and AddEnergie. He has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with Specialization in Computer Software Engineering from the Université de Sherbrooke.

Sébastien Rousseau

Sébastien RousseauVice President, Finance

Since joining Sherweb in 2012, Sébastien has played a key role in overseeing the company’s Finance Department, specifically in a period of exceptional growth. His solid experience in accounting, tax, auditing, finance and strategy has enabled Sébastien to progress from Director of Finance at Sherweb to his current position as Vice President of Finance.

Before joining Sherweb, Sébastien was Director at Deloitte. He excels at solving complex accounting problems and providing a quality service to Sherweb’s clients. Sébastien is a member of the Quebec Order of Certified Public Accountants.

He has a Master’s degree in Administration and Accounting from the Université de Sherbrooke.

Nadia Martel

Nadia MartelVice-President, Corporate Development

Nadia comes to Sherweb with more than 20 years of experience in international business, legal affairs, strategic negotiations and governance. As a lawyer, she worked in both private and publicly traded companies in various leadership roles such as Vice President, Business Development, General Counsel and Head of Global Compliance and Ethics.

Nadia has held several key positions at Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. (BRP) and played an important role in helping the company deliver its Initial Public Offering. She is also a board member at the MiQro Innovation Collaborative Centre (C2MI), Bishop’s University and the Quebec Wildlife Foundation.

Nadia has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Law and a Master’s degree in Tax Law. She is also a Chartered Director.

André Boutet

André BoutetVice President, Cloud Operations & Hosted Services

André is an experienced IT leader with strong technical acumen & more than 15 years of hands-on experience in strategic planning, business unit development, Project and Infrastructure management, and system engineering strategies.

Here at Sherweb, he is responsible for leading the development and implementation of our Hosted Services offering, defining and delivering valuable, secure and scalable solutions. André holds a degree in Management Information Systems from McGill University.

Carole Garcia

Carole GarciaVice President, Corporate IT

Carole joined Sherweb in 2019 to build the company’s Premier support team for Microsoft 365. She has a rich background in senior management and consultant roles in Canada and abroad.

Her vision to continuously put the customer at the center of the process has helped move the needle for key players such as Telus, Pharmascience, Orange, Bombardier and SITA.

Carole’s 20+ years of international experience help her bring Sherweb to the next level as the company leverages the latest technologies to lead into a frictionless IT world.

Carole graduated in applied Physics and Optics from École nationale de chimie, physique et biologie (Paris, France).

Jim O'Driscoll

Jim O’DriscollVice President, Sales

Jim is a committed and passionate B2B sales leader with a proven track record in telecommunications, managed services and SaaS. Combining vision and leadership with business acumen, he has built successful sales teams in a rapidly changing environment to exceed customers’ expectations across different industry verticals. Jim is a graduate of the University of Ottawa.

Benji Germain

Benji Germain Vice President, Product

Benji joined Sherweb in 2023 as the Vice President, Product. He oversees Sherweb’s growing marketplace and services offering. A results-focused leader with more than twenty years of experience in the IT and telecom sectors, Benji is poised to strengthen our partner services through portfolio expansion and new managed solutions. Prior to joining Sherweb, he was a national director at Bell Canada.

He is recognized for his great leadership and teamwork alongside his ability to adapt, transform and mobilize. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Université de Sherbrooke as well as a master’s degree in technology management from Polytechnique Montréal.
