Cloud services provider SherWeb has been recognized once more for its innovation in the hosting industry by winning two new Microsoft awards.
SherWeb won Microsoft Canada’s 2015 IMPACT awards earlier this month in two specific categories: the Fastest-Growing SMB Cloud Provider East and the Partner Hosted Cloud Innovation Award. The IMPACT awards are given out to a Canadian hosting provider that has shown innovation and excellence throughout the year.
“This is an exciting time to be working with Microsoft,” said Marc-André Fontaine, VP of Marketing at SherWeb. “Especially now that Microsoft has unveiled its CSP program. Not only can SherWeb’s partners resell Office 365 on their own terms, but they can do it just by clicking a single button.”
Microsoft introduced the Cloud Solution Provider program (CSP) last year in response to partners’ demands to get more involved in the customer sales cycle for Office 365. This includes renewal, billing, provisioning, and customer support.
Microsoft received hundreds of nominations for the IMPACT awards from hosting providers across the country. Thirty finalists were chosen in 15 categories ranging from Infrastructure Innovation to Digital Marketing Innovation. The awards were presented during Microsoft’s World Partner Conference (WPC) on July 12 in Orlando, FL.
Helping business work smarter
In its submission, SherWeb highlighted how it used Microsoft technology to help small businesses work smarter in a mobile- and cloud-driven market. The company focused on its developments in Infrastructure-as-a-Service, such as high-performing cloud databases built using Microsoft technology. SherWeb also referred to the work it has done to make it easier for its partner network to resell Office 365. SherWeb is currently one of the leading distributors of Office 365 in Canada. It recently earned the Microsoft Gold Cloud Productivity Competency for Office 365.
SherWeb has won several Microsoft awards over the years. The company won the Canadian Partner Network IMPACT Award in 2011 and two years later, was named Worldwide Hosting Partner of the Year following the launch of Hosted Exchange 2013 in North America. SherWeb was the finalist last year for the 2014 Worldwide Hosting Partner of the Year award.
